En un hito histórico para el desarrollo del turismo sustentable, autoridades del mundo público, privado, académico y de la sociedad civil participaron en la primera sesión del Consejo Directivo del Programa Transforma Meso Regional Ruta de los Parques de la Patagonia, instancia que busca consolidar a la Patagonia como un destino mundial de naturaleza y conservación.
Durante la jornada, realizada en las oficinas de Corfo en Santiago, se firmó un compromiso de colaboración interinstitucional, que permitirá avanzar en la puesta en valor de los parques nacionales del sur de Chile y en la construcción de una política de largo plazo orientada al turismo de conservación.
La subsecretaria de Turismo, Verónica Pardo, destacó la relevancia del acuerdo:
“Hoy firmamos un compromiso de trabajo por el desarrollo sustentable de esta tremenda ruta, tan importante para el posicionamiento del turismo en Chile”.
En la misma línea, el subsecretario de Bienes Nacionales, Sebastián Vergara, subrayó la importancia del trabajo coordinado:
“Creemos que solo el esfuerzo interinstitucional permitirá que la creación de la Ruta de los Parques de la Patagonia sea una innovación país que genere beneficios reales a las comunidades que habitan estos territorios”.
Por su parte, el vicepresidente ejecutivo de Corfo, José Miguel Benavente, explicó que el programa tendrá una duración de hasta nueve años y será financiado por Corfo junto a aportes regionales:
“Buscamos visibilizar este espacio geográfico de renombre internacional y adecuar la oferta turística, de formación de competencias y de capital humano a través de una hoja de ruta clara y compartida”.
El gobernador regional de Aysén, Marcelo Santana, valoró la iniciativa por su impacto directo en las comunidades:
“Los parques nacionales son parte de la Carretera Austral. Este programa viene a fortalecer esa puesta en valor para que también genere desarrollo económico en nuestras comunidades, principalmente asociadas al turismo”.
El director de Corfo Aysén, Humberto Marín Leiva, relevó la visión de largo plazo:
“Este esfuerzo nos permitirá generar nuevas oportunidades para las personas del sur austral y posicionar la Ruta de los Parques en el mapa mundial del turismo de conservación”.
Desde el sector privado, el presidente de Fedetur, Jaime Guazzini, recalcó el rol de la coordinación:
“Este programa nos ayuda a planificar mejor el territorio y a contar con infraestructura que permita generar productos turísticos sostenibles y competitivos”.
Hoja de Ruta y desafíos
La iniciativa abarca el territorio comprendido entre Puerto Montt y Cabo de Hornos y considera cuatro ejes estratégicos:

Desarrollo y diversificación de la oferta turística

Capital humano, vinculación e integración

Sostenibilidad, adaptación al cambio climático y planificación
La sesión contó con la presencia de los gobernadores de Los Lagos, Aysén y Magallanes; autoridades de Corfo, Sernatur, Bienes Nacionales, MOP, SBAP y representantes de gremios turísticos y ministerios clave, reafirmando la voluntad de construir de manera conjunta un modelo de turismo sostenible que proyecte a la Patagonia como un referente mundial.
