En el corazón de Coyhaique, niñas y niños del Jardín Infantil Kau-Kalem de JUNJI viven una experiencia inolvidable: descubrir el océano sin salir de su jardín. A través del proyecto “Pequeños Artistas del Mar”, el equipo educativo convirtió la curiosidad natural de los párvulos en un viaje sensorial y creativo inspirado en el mundo marino.
Este proyecto nace de la atenta observación del equipo educativo, que notó el profundo interés de los niños y niñas por la agua, los animales marinos y las canciones relacionadas con el mar. A partir de estos estímulos, se creó un entorno de aprendizaje que combinó el arte, la ciencia temprana y el juego libre.
“Los niños se maravillaban tocando el agua, explorando la arena, investigando los sonidos del mar. Los animales marinos fueron los favoritos desde el principio. A partir de ahí, diseñamos un espacio donde pudieran aprender tocando, oliendo, creando, jugando”, explicó Deisy Soto, educadora del nivel sala cuna mayor.

El equipo, conformado por las técnicas en párvulos Jacqueline Mardones, Natalia Almonacid, Marcela Araneda y Cristina Cadagán, trabajó en diseñar ambientes funcionales, seguros y estéticamente estimulantes que promueven el juego libre, la exploración y el protagonismo infantil.
El resultado fue un verdadero océano dentro del aula, donde cada rincón invitaba a descubrir, imaginar y aprender. La iniciativa fue altamente valorada por las familias:
“Esta experiencia fue muy entretenida. Tenía muchas actividades, y los niños aprendieron los nombres de los animales del mar. Mi hijo ahora los reconoce, ¡hasta canta canciones del tiburón! Fue muy enriquecedor poder participar con ellos”, comentó Nicole Luengo, apoderada del jardín.

Este tipo de iniciativas reflejan el enfoque pedagógico de JUNJI, que apuesta por una educación parvularia integral, significativa y conectada con los intereses reales de los niños y niñas.
